Hi! My name is Joel Salgado and I’m currently a student at the University of Oregon pursuing a degree in Public Relations and Sports Business. I am a driven individual who is deeply passionate about public relations, communications, and leadership. During my time at Zucker Media Group, I gained 1 year with extensive experience, developing a wide range of PR skills and refining my strategic communication methods.
In my fraternity, I demonstrated strong leadership qualities as the New Member Educator. I guided new members through their assimilation into the fraternity, providing them with direction and encouragement. Additionally, as the Public Relations Chair, I managed our social media presence, organized outreach programs, and cultivated relationships with alumni members.
Outside of my academic pursuits, I successfully balanced my employment and studies at the University of Oregon. I work part-time at a gym for three years now, where I honed my time management skills and excelled as a member sales representative.
My passion lies in public relations in the sports world and forging deep connections, and I am eager to apply my experience to the dynamic field of public relations. With a commitment to excellence and continual growth, I am confident in my ability to make a significant impact on my career journey.
